TestoGel / Creams etc: how long can you keep a stable serum level?

I was wondering - Gels etc. have very short half-lives, usually a few hours from what I've read in studies like this one.

Would that mean - if I go on a business trip abroad for a few days and happen to forget my gel, I'm in for a miserable experience because after 24-48 hours, stuff has basically been cleared from my system and due to my own production being shut down, I'm out of luck?

Everyone is different and I am sure there are some that would feel it. I was on gels for years and traveled 45 weeks out of the year. There were times I forgot to pack my Androgel and had to go with our for the better part of the week. I don't recall having a terrible experience and I am sure I would remember if it was all that bad.

In all those years I maybe forgot it two or three times early on in my TRT. Somehow, things that become important to us we tend to remember.

When I took gels my levels fluctuated daily. One day I might take a blood test and be 325 TT. The next day back down to 157 TT. It’s in and out fast, at lest for me.
