Crushed Prolactin levels with Cabergoline

How long does it take for prolactin levels to naturally rise back up after you accidentally crushed it with Cabergoline?

I did this recently and I’m having trouble getting erections for the first time ever. Hoping it will recover soon.

1 to 4 weeks for prolactin levels to naturally rebound after an accidental overdose of Cabergoline. However, because Cabergoline has an exceptionally long elimination half-life (63--109 hours), the drug's suppressive effects on your pituitary gland will continue long after you stop taking it.

Sexual function and depressive symptoms in men with hypoprolactinaemia secondary to overtreatment of prolactin excess: A pilot study - PubMed

The results obtained indicate that men with dopamine agonist-induced hypoprolactinaemia are characterised by impaired sexual functioning and reduced wellbeing. These disturbances are a consequence of subnormal prolactin levels and do not seem to reflect adverse effects of dopamine agonists.

Thank you Vince. I appreciate the link as well. Looks like I’m screwed for 4 weeks because I took 0.5mg twice a week instead of 0.25mg by mistake and now I have ED.
