need TRT in belgium - stopped BalanceMyHormones

Hi friends,

I have been on TRT for 8 years. Started with hertoghe clinic in Belgium but after 2 years I quit because they where expensive as hell and they can't provide the optimal protocol. So I switched to BalanceMyHormones for 6 years and for me personally it was the best I could get. I always enjoyed working together and my health was the best ever with the help of them.

now recently since may they can't help their patients from europe anymore ( because of a new law in europe... ) and so I had to quit sadly enough.

That been said I am looking for a good doctor in Belgium I can go to or some clinic who help's trough tele medicine. I was on the 20%transcrotal cream from NP labs in greece for the last 6 years but as I understood it has become illegal in europe...

I am willing to get on injections but I prefer the cream as I am used to it and I know how to manage it.

If anyone can help , please reach out.

Greetings ,

I did a deep dive search and here is what I found:

TRT options in Belgium (in-person + telemedicine)

In-person clinics in Belgium

Hertoghe Clinic (Uccle, Brussels) — 4th-generation hormone/longevity clinic, multiple physicians, consults in French and English.
  • Avenue Van Bever 7-9, B-1180 Uccle, Brussels
  • +32 2 736 68 68 · [email protected] · Hertoghe Clinic | Bienvenue
  • Private, no insurance reimbursement. Expect high fees (widely flagged as very expensive and rigid on protocol). Bioidentical hormones including testosterone.

Dr. Sebastiaan Van Cauwenberge (Bruges) — general surgeon with a structured, by-request TRT track under "(the) Clynique"; intake, blood work, indication required. Injections and gel. Guideline-based (Endocrine Society, BCFI).
  • Gerard Davidstraat 69, 8000 Bruges
  • +32 50 55 62 96 · [email protected] · Home
  • Online booking available. His core practice is surgery/weight management, so TRT is a niche add-on.

Dr. Jamal Belkhouribchia (Hasselt) — endocrinologist-diabetologist; testosterone listed among pituitary/thyroid/obesity work. The conventional, insurance-covered route if hypogonadism is documented. Endocrinoloog te Hasselt. Dokter Jamal Belkhouribchia

Dr. Cooremans / IUVENTU — daily liposomal gel or IM injection every 3 months, with active surveillance (hematocrit, liver, kidney, E2, cardiac + prostate echography). Won't treat obese/smokers/heavy drinkers without addressing those first. IUVENTU Clinic | Clinique anti-âge et médecine esthétique - Anti-aging

University Hospitals Leuven and other academic endocrinology — public route, insurance-covered, strict. Needs two morning draws, total T generally below 8 nmol/L (or 8-12 with free T and SHBG), plus LH/FSH.

Telemedicine serving Belgium

The EU tightened rules in 2025. BalanceMyHormones dropped European patients in May, and the Greek transcrotal cream route was cut off.
  • Androgenix (https://testosteronereplacementtherapy.eu) — advertises a €69 consultation, EU-wide, ships injections/gels/creams. Red flag: no physical address, no named doctors, no license/regulator info, and no Belgium page despite running France/Netherlands landing pages. Treat as unverified; vet heavily before paying.
  • MobiDoctor (See an English-speaking doctor today — anywhere in the EU) — online consult and prescription assessment across Europe. More transparent, but for testosterone it's better suited to follow-up/renewals than an initial script.

Belgium requires a documented deficiency, and many EU jurisdictions prohibit online-only initial testosterone prescriptions. The clean path is an in-person diagnosis first (Hertoghe, a hospital endocrinologist, or IUVENTU), then remote management once established.

Note: Testogel is a Belgium-authorized product (Besins Healthcare), so a local prescription is straightforward to fill.
