Ketamine routes
- IV infusion: intravenous drip in a clinic. The most studied route, usually cash-pay.
- IM injection: intramuscular shot in a clinic. Shorter session than IV.
- Spravato: FDA-approved esketamine nasal spray. Given only in REMS-certified clinics with 2-hour observation. Often covered by insurance.
- Compounded nasal spray: racemic ketamine spray from a compounding pharmacy. Off-label.
- Sublingual / oral: troches, lozenges or rapid-dissolve tablets, in clinic or at home.
- At-home: telehealth-prescribed ketamine taken at home with remote oversight.
Therapy categories
- KAP in-house (32): a licensed therapist delivers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
- Integration in-house (15): preparation and integration sessions, coaching or talk therapy in-house, but not full KAP.
- Referral / separate (16): the clinic works with your own therapist or refers out.
- Not stated (36): the clinic's site doesn't describe a therapy component. That doesn't prove they lack one.
